Background
Business Process Management (BPM) is the art and science of overseeing how work is performed in an organization to ensure consistent outcomes and to take advantage of improvement opportunities. BPM is about managing entire chains of events, activities and decisions that ultimately add value to the organisation and its customers. These “chains of events, activities and decisions” are called processes.  Assume that Student groups are working as process architects for a consulting company. The client has requested to  help them to formally model their Order Entry / Sales (OE/S) process into BPMN diagram(s) and plan for the implementation. Company’s  OE/S process Information document have been provided to your team, yet they may not be sufficient. Teams will prepare a business report based on a process case study and should use their own initiative regarding any assumptions if needed. Each team is expected to finish the following tasks.

1. Read the given “OE/S Process Information Document” to understand how the OE/S process works in the company and give a textual description of your designed OE/S process including involved process roles, activities, documents, etc. Extra research work is highly suggested, if you are not familiar with sales business processes. (Minimum 400 words)

2. Create the corresponding BPMN diagram(s) for the described business process using appropriate tools, including necessary activities, events, messages, data, etc. (Minimum 20 meaningful and non-trivial activities).

3. Create a business process integration plan using the template provided  to show how the created business process should be integrated into the current IT systems and organisational body of the host company. Make reasonable assumptions if needed. (Minimum 400 words)

4. The academic report should also contain sections of executive summary, introduction, conclusion, and references (APA style).
